Bottleworks District’s Barrelworks Event Raises Funds to Provide 7,000 Meals for Second Helpings

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (Nov. 14, 2024) -- Bottleworks District hosted Barrelworks, a one-of-a-kind tasting event where guests sampled dozens of whiskeys and tequilas along with delectable food pairings while jamming out to live entertainment all day long. The event raised $12,000 in net proceeds for Second Helpings, a nonprofit organization dedicated to tackling hunger and reducing food waste in Central Indiana. Those funds provided 7,000 meals for individuals and families in need.

“We’re thrilled to have hosted this event that not only celebrated the art of whiskey and tequila but also allowed us to give back to our community,” said Jeff Whiteman, Chief Operating Officer at Geronimo Hospitality Group. “It’s great to see the Indy community come together to support Second Helpings.

“The funds raised from Barrelworks will directly impact those who face food insecurity in central Indiana,” said Linda Broadfoot, CEO at Second Helpings.

“We want to thank the Bottleworks District, and everyone involved for their contributions in fighting hunger from all angles.”
