BRINGING THE FLAVOR

Bottleworks Indianapolis Tech Industry

Momentum is building for the historic Bottleworks District with new tenants signing on in quick succession. Poke Guru and Lick Ice Cream, both with significant followings in Indianapolis, are the latest to join The Garage food hall’s growing list of top vendors. Featuring a wide array of sweet and savory options, The Garage will offer a world of flavors when it opens in 2020, including homemade treats from Lick Ice Cream and Asian-inspired cuisine from Poke Guru.

KEEPING IT FRESH

Putting a twist on a traditional Hawaiian favorite, Poke Guru will debut a new take on the original healthy, fast-casual concept with its second location at The Garage. Having first brought the local culinary concept to life at City Market last summer, owner Adam Odgaard is eager to bring new offerings and experiences to the table, “I first came up with concept traveling with my wife, and it’s exciting to bring that idea to Indy and see how quickly people have fallen in love with it.”

With an extended menu, the freshest of fish delivered daily, and wait for it—alcoholic beverages! —you know they mean business. Visitors can expect to see the popular poke bowl (essentially deconstructed sushi) with traditional add-ons, as well as more plant-based offerings, including Seitan and Tofu dishes.

ALL-Natural and All-Delicious

For anyone looking for sweet treats year-round, Lick Ice Cream at Bottleworks will be the go-to spot come summer 2020. Serving up unique ice cream flavors (think Lavender Lemon Poppyseed or Cedar & Whiskey), this local ice cream shop is known for its all-natural and made-from-scratch products, as well as using locally sourced fruits, herbs, and spices.

Sisters and co-owners Meredith Kong and Kelly Ryan bring a new definition to delicious, “What started as just a fun hobby has become a passion for us as we bring natural ingredients to the forefront and see the joy it brings to the community.” They’re bringing the dessert to the food hall experience, but we won’t judge you for having it for breakfast too! In addition, 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the shop’s initial opening, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate their success.

The vision for The Garage is really coming to life with construction well underway. Both Poke Guru and Lick Ice Cream are set to open as part of phase one in summer 2020, joining Daredevil Brewing and Square Cat Vinyl in the 30,000 square-foot space.
